Application Information

Figure 8. Typical RS485 communication network with enable function

The TPT480 transceiver is designed for bidirectional RS485/422 data communications on multipoint bus transmission lines.

Figures 8 shows typical network applications circuit to support up to 256 nodes. To minimize line reflections, terminate the

line at both ends in its characteristic impedance, one 120ohm load in master side, and another 120ohm load in the end of

slave side, and limit stub lengths off the main line as short as possible.
