Bus switches provide zero delay paths
TheFST3125belongtoIDT'sfamilyofBusswitches. Busswitchdevices
performthe functionofconnectingorisolatingtwoports withoutproviding
anyinherentcurrentsinkorsource capability. Thus theygenerate little or
nonoise oftheirownwhile providinga lowresistance pathforanexternal
driver. Thesedevicesconnectinputandoutputportsthroughann-channel
FET. Whenthegate-to-sourcejunctionofthis FETis adequatelyforward-
biasedthe device conducts andthe resistance betweeninputandoutput
ports is small. Withoutadequatebias onthegate-to-sourcejunctionofthe
FET, the FETis turnedoff, therefore withnoVCC applied, the device has
hotinsertioncapability.
Extended commercial range of –40°C to +85°C
Low switch on-resistance: FST3xxx – 5Ω
TTL-compatible input and output levels
ESD > 2000V per MIL-STD-883, Method 3015; > 200V using
machine model (C = 200pF, R = 0)

Available in QSOP, SOIC, and TSSOP Packages
Thelowon-resistanceandsimplicityoftheconnectionbetweeninputand
outputports reduces the delayinthis pathtoclose tozero.
The FST3125 is a 4-bit TTL-compatible bus switch. The xOE pins
provide individualenable controlfor eachof the four bits.
