the FW-8875 is an example of

low power consumption

and high computing execution in

a network appliance. Bleeding-

edge Quad-Core Xeon 5500 se-

ries processors improve process-

ing capacity with less relative

power consumption, translating

into increased productivity while

providing greater thermal man-

agement and energy saving.

Hardware Acceleration

The optional onboard Cavium

accelerator board processes IPsec

and IKE, IPv6, SSL and Wireless

LAN security protocol macro com-

mands, which reduce host I/O

traffic and dramatically offload

system processes to increase total

system throughput.

Along with support for a Quad-

Core Xeon processer, the FW-

8875 supports DDR3 memory
