12V/400mA Inductorless High-Efficiency Regulator
DESCRIPTION
The ETA4000 uses Charge Transfer technology to achieve twice the efficiency more than conventional linear regulators when performing
step-down operation. Different from conventional DC-DC, it is necessary to switch the external inductance, which brings in the problem of
radio frequency interference. The ETA4000 uses a capacitor to perform charge transfer to improve efficiency and avoid interference
problems. At the same time, when the load is less than 50mA, the efficiency is generally higher than DC-DC's one. The ETA4000 also maintains
a very small output ripple with 150uA of DC power consumption. It integrates over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, over-
current protection and other functions. Its typical application is the 12V input voltage and low output voltage, it's the best choice for the
system where the efficiency and radio frequency interference are much considered.
