Lens Strobe

The System Sensor SpectrAlert® Advance SW-ALERT

and SWH-ALERT amber lens strobes provide the

distinctive visual signal used for mass notiﬁcation

during non-ﬁre evacuations.

Features

The System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance SW-ALERT and

SWH-ALERT strobes are designed with an amber colored lens

mounted in a white housing to allow visual signaling for mass

notiﬁcation in compliance with ANSI/UL1638 – Standard for General

Signaling Visible Appliances.

•ꢀElectrically compatible with existing SpectrAlert products

•ꢀAutomatic selection of 12- or 24-volt operation at 15 and 15/75

candela

•ꢀPlug-in design

The SW-ALERT and SWH-ALERT amber lens strobes provide simple

installation and instant compatibility with SpectrAlert Advance

synchronized systems. Their features include plug-in design and 11

ﬁeld selectable candela settings.

•ꢀAmber lens strobe

•ꢀWhite plastic housing with ALERT clearly visible in red letters

•ꢀField selectable candela settings of 15, 15/75, 30, 75, 95, 110, 115,

135, 150, 177, 185 (please refer to Table 2 for equivalent candela

ratings for UL1971 )

These strobes are indoor products that attach to universal mounting

plates connected to a four-inch square, four-inch octagon, single-

gang, or double-gang junction boxes. The circuit is wired to the

SEMS terminals on the mounting plate. The device will rotate into

position, locking the product’s pins into the mounting plate’s

terminals. The device will temporarily hold in place with a catch until

it is secured with a captured mounting screw.

•ꢀRated for 32°F to 120°F (0°C to 49°C)

•ꢀHousing can be mounted to either wall or ceiling

•ꢀShorting spring on mounting plate for continuity check before

installation

•ꢀTamper resistant construction with Torx head mounting screw

•ꢀDesign allows minimal intrusion into the back box

•ꢀCompatible with System Sensor synchronization protocol
