DESCRIPTION
• Complete 2.45GHz radio transceiver in lowest-cost
CMOS silicon
The IS11LV5010 IC is a fully integrated CMOS radio
frequency transceiver and GFSK data modem
optimized for use in BluetoothTM communication
applications in the globally available ISM band
operating in the 2.4-2.5 GHz frequency range. It
contains transmit, receive, VCO and PLL functions,
including an on-chip channel filter and resonator
minimizing the need for external components.

The IS11LV5010 IC can be used stand-alone or in
conjunction with ISSI’s complete BluetoothTM solution
that includes RF and Baseband chipsets, antennas,
software protocol stacks and reference designs.

The IS11LV5010 IC is fully compliant with BluetoothTM
Specification 1.1, class 2 and 3 operation, which
allows up to +4dBm output power. The low-IF receiver
architecture produces low DC offsets and a 2MHz spur
below–40dBc. IS11LV5010produceslowin-band
spurious signals that allow class 1 operation simply by
adding a power amplifier. RSSI values are available to
monitorchannelquality.

APPLICATIONS
The low pin count baseband interface complies with the
BlueRFTM standard for bidirectional communication,
allowinginteroperabilitywithvariousbaseband
components. It consists of a three wire RF bus for
transmit, receive and control data, a three wire serial
data bus for general control data, and power
management.Additionally,recovered-clockand
recovered-data signals are available externally. For
longer battery life, power consumption is minimized by
providing separate power controls for transmit, receive,
PLL and PA sections as well as a sleep mode to
reduce standby battery usage.

This product is available in two 48 lead JEDEC
standard packages: QNF or TQFP. Both package
choices feature an exposed pad on the bottom for best
