Description

The GT-96010A provides all of the system peripherals needed to

builda high-performance LAN-to-WANconnectivitydevice around

avarietyofembeddedmicroprocessors,suchastheIDTRC32364.

Included in the GT-96010A are multiprotocol serial ports, an

Ethernet controller, WAN PHY interfaces, and core logic.

Six high bit rate multi-protocol serial controllers

10BaseX perfect filtering Ethernet MAC

Two programmable Flex-TDM time slot assigners

14 serial DMA engines and 1 independent DMA engine

DRAM and device controller

The GT-96010A is the result of the marriage of Galileo's strengths

in both system control and communications technology. Unlike

otherWANdevices,theGT-96010Auses hardwareserialengines,

allowingnewlevelsofsystemperformanceforemergingapplications

such as ADSL and high-speed Frame Relay.

T1/E1, V.35, and X.21 WAN connections

6 channels of E1/T1 rate Frame Relay

Remote access servers

Six high-speed multiprotocol serial controllers

Bandwidth up to 8Mbps full duplex per channel

Synchronous/asynchronous RX/TX operation

Supports HDLC, BiSync, UART and transparent modes

Can be used directly or connected to Flex-TDM

Up to eight GT-96010As can be cascaded to provide 48

channels

Supports 6 serial channels and 2 auxiliary channels

Highly programmable, can support many standards

including GCI, IDL, PCM
