Magnetic Shielded Surface Mount Chip Choke Coils  
Low Inductance Range In a Small 5 x 5 x 1.85mm Square Form Factor  
Panasonic, a worldwide leader in Inductor Products, introduces the NEW ELL-5PR Series Surface Mount  
Chip Choke Coils. The NEW ELL-5PR Series covers the lower inductance range of 0.47 to 10µH and offers  
lower DC Resistance than other comparable Inductor products. The ELL-5PR Series offers roughly two  
times the current handling capability at comparable inductance values and come in a smaller, lower profile  
form when compared with similar high current rating products. The ELL-5PR Series’ magnetic shielding  
helps prevent interference noise and unwanted coupling with surrounding circuitry. Use ELL-5PR Surface  
Mount Chip Choke Coils in output smoothing and for maintaining voltage during output FET off cycle. Low  
DC Resistance and large current handling capability make ELL-5PR parts ideal for DC/DC applications, in a  
small, space-saving 5 x 5 x 1.85 mm form factor. Square core shape improves magnetic efficiency in a small  
package. Superior saturation characteristics and low DCR contribute to DC/DC converter efficiency.
