Th e CMOS bq3285E /L is a low-  
power m icr opr ocessor per iph er a l  
providing a time-of-day clock and  
100-year calendar with alarm fea-  
t ures a nd ba t t ery opera t ion . Th e  
b q3 28 5 L s u p p or t s 3 V s ys t e m s.  
Other bq3285E/L features include  
three maskable interrupt sources,  
square-wave output, and 242 bytes  
of general nonvolatile storage.

of the month, months, and years,  
with automatic leap-year adjust-  
ment  
➤ Functionally compatible with the  
DS1285  
➤ Time of day in seconds, minutes,  
and hours  
- Closely matches MC146818A

➤ 2.7–3.6V operation (bq3285L);

A 32.768kHz output is available for

vided by an alarm interrupt, which  
is active in battery-backup mode.
