(Figure ꢀ).

ꢁ. Push Braid forward over Adapter Reten-
tion Lip to the Adapter Incline Point (or
.ꢂ" [ꢀꢃ.ꢁmm] minimum braid length). Milk

a snug fit around the shield termination
area (Figure ꢁ).

NOTE:TofreeToolHandles,moveHoldingClips
to center of Tool.
ꢂ. Squeeze Gripper Release Lever and insert
Band into the front end opening of the
Tool. (NOTE: Circular portion of looped
band must always face downward.)
ꢅ. AligningtheBandandToolwiththeShield
Termination Area, squeeze Black Pull-Up
Handlerepeatedlyusingshortstrokesuntil
it locks against Tool Body. (This indicates
the Band is compressed to the Tool Preca-
librated Tension.)
ꢄ. PreparetheBandinthefollowingmanner:

Buckle
IMPORTANT: Due to Connector/Adapter
circumference, it may be necessary to
prepare the Band around the Cable or
Retention Area.
A. Roll Band through the Buckle Slot
twice. (Bandsmustbedouble-coiled.)
B. Pull on Band until Mark ( ) is within
approximately .ꢁꢅꢃ inch (ꢆ.ꢂmm) of
Buckle Slot (Figure ꢄ). The Band may
be tightened further if desired.

NOTE: If alignment of band and shield is
unsatisfactory, tension on band can be
relaxed by pushing on slotted release
lever on top of tool. Make adjustments as
necessaryandagainsqueezeblackpull-up
handle.
