The 3CPX5000A7 high-mu triode is designed for

use as a cathode driven Class AB pulsed power

ampliﬁer and as a switch tube in cathode or grid

driven service. The tube does not require a socket

as it is designed to bolt directly to the chassis

be means of the grid ﬂange. Cathode and heater

connections are made by bolting directly to the

ampliﬁer circuitry. These features reduce equip-

ment cost and complexity.
