300/500mA LowDropout Linear Regulator

Features

General Description

The uP8806 is an ultra low noise, fast response, high power Wide Input Voltage Range from 2.4 to 6V

supply rejection ratio (PSRR) low dropout regulator

Ultra Low Dropout Voltage: 300mV @ 300mA

specifically designed to continuously deliver up to 300mA

High Power Supply Rejection Ratio Up to 74dB

output current.Designed with a P-channel MOSFET series

@1kHz

pass transistor, the uP8806 yields extremely low dropout

Ultra Fast Response in Line/Load Transient

voltage (e.g. 300mV at 300mA).

Stable with 1uF Ceramic Output Capacitor

The uP8806 does not require a bypass capacitor, hence

Low Shutdown Current: < 1uA

Foldback Output Current Limit

High Output Accuracy

achieving the smallest PCB area. This device reduces

output voltage noise under 70uV_(RMS)and improves PSRR

to 40dB at 100kHz.

The uP8806 is designed and optimized to work with low-

value, low-cost ceramic capacitors. Only a 1uF ceramic

output capacitor is required for stable operation for any load

conditions.

1.5% Initial Accuracy

Fixed Output Voltages: 0.8V to 4.75V with 0.1V

Per Step

Over-Temperature Protection

Other features include foldback overcurrent protection, quick

soft start, and overtemperature protection. The uP8806 is

available in fixed output voltage from 0.8V to 4.75V with

0.1V per step. The device comes in SC70 - 5L,SC82 - 4L,

(T)SOT23 - 3L/5L, SOT223 - 3L, WDFN1.6x1.6 - 6LSOT89

- 3L and TO252 - 3L packages.
