The Startop is a cylindrical
optical connector for multi-
channel cables. The
mechanical coupling is
achieved by screw
a
locking mechanism of the
plug on the receptacle.
The optical connection is
made by a physical contact
between the two optical
termini (POM pin contact
and POM socket contact).

• Fibers: 50/125, 62.5/125 and 9/125 (other: contact us)
• Number of channels : from 2 to 8 (other arrangements:

• Plug adapted to tight jacketed multiway cables
• Typical Insertion Loss : 1 dB

• Maximum Return Loss (9/125 fiber): -25 dB
• Optical contacts : Points Optiques Militaires (POM) size 16
• Durability : < 0.2 dB change after 250 mating/unmating
cycles
• Cable retention by crimping : > 100 daN
