• DLT1101-FC Conforms to

FDDI SMF-PMD Category 1

Standard, for 125 Mbd

Singlemode Fiber Physical

The DLT1101/1102-FC series

Data Link Transmitters convert

serial ECL signals to lightwaves in

the 1300 nanometer band at data

rates from 50 to 266 Mbd. They

are generally suitable for serial

optical data communication over

a singlemode fiber.

• Single 5-Volt Pow er Supply

• DLT1102-FC Conforms to

Fiber Channel FC-0-25-SM-

LL-I

Two versions of the transmitter

are available. The DLT1101-FC

which has a typical output of -16

dBm and conforms to the FDDI

SMF-PMD Category 1 Standard,

and the DLT1102-FC which has a

typical optical power of -9 dBm

and is suitable for longer

addition, the logic interface cir-

cuits are ECL comparators which

can be configured to connect

directly to ECL, P-ECL (+ 5 V

referenced ECL) or CMOS logic.

The buried heterostructure laser

and planar monitor detector are

fabricated by the Metal-Organic

Vapor Phase (MOVPE) process

for high reliability, performance

and consistency.

Communications

The transmitters will operate from

either positive or negative 5 V

power supplies allowing use with

most standard logic systems. In

For greater reliability the laser

and monitor PIN are hermetically

sealed in a metal can inside the

plastic 14-pin DIP package.
