The Alcatel 1925 OFA (Optical Fiber
Amplifier) is designed to offer excellent
performance characteristics for WDM
systems in the 1530 - 1560 nm wave-
length range.
The standard, double-stage 14 dBm unit
can be supplemented using external
pump modules to achieve outputs of
17 dBm or 20 dBm.
A 9 dB mid-amplifier loss port has been
designed in to allow for A/ DMUX
functions, dispersion compensation, etc.
Tap couplers at each signal port offer
full monitoring capability.

The Alcatel 1925 OFA achieves very
flat gain in excess of 28 dB, while
limiting gain excursion to < 1 dB
