Sintered Anode TANTALEX® Capacitors for Operation to + 175°C +
FEATURES
A variety of case styles are available; seven combinations of
terminal arrangements and mounting arrangements are
provided to meet the needs of equipment designers. Units
which do not have integral mounting means are usually
mounted by means of clamps. In cases where the cathode
connection is not to be of chassis potential, suitable
insulation should be supplied between the case and the
mounting bracket or clamp. It is recommended that case
styles with a cathode terminal lug be used in such
applications; in no case should the equipment assembler
attempt to solder to any part of the capacitor shell. Consult
factory for high temperature applications.
Following the life test:
At + 85°C:
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS
Operating Temperature: - 55°C to + 85°C and with
voltage derating to + 175°C. Consult factory for high
temperature applications.
Capacitance Tolerance: At 120 Hz, + 25°C. - 15%,
+ 75%.
1. DCL shall not exceed the initial requirement.
2. ESR shall not exceed 100% of the initial requirement.
3. Capacitance shall not change more than 15%.
At + 125°C:
1. DCL shall not exceed the initial requirement.
2. ESR shall not exceed 130% of the initial requirement.
3. Capacitance shall not change more than 15%.
At + 175°C:
DC Leakage Current (DCL Max.):
At + 25°C and above: Leakage current shall not
exceed the values listed in the Standard Ratings
Tables.
Life Test: Capacitors shall be capable of
withstanding 2000 hours at rated DC working voltage.
1. DCL shall not exceed the initial requirement.
2. ESR shall not exceed 150% of the initial requirement.
3. Capacitance shall not change more than - 35%, + 15%
from the initial value for capacitors rated 20 WVDC and
below or + 15% for capacitors rated above 20 WVDC.
