♦ Low On-Resistance, < 17Ω Typical (35Ω max)
The MAX394 is a precision, low-voltage, quad, single-
pole/double-throw (SPDT) analog switch. The four inde-
pendent switches operate with bipolar supplies ranging
from ±±.ꢀ7 to ±ꢁ7, or with a single supplꢂ of ꢃ±.ꢀ7 to
ꢃ157. The MAX394 offers low on-resistance (less than
35Ω), guaranteed to match within ±Ω between channels
and to remain flat over the analog signal range (Δ4Ω
max). It also offers break-before-make switching (10ns
tꢂpical), with turn-off times less than ꢀ5ns and turn-on
times less than 130ns. The MAX394 is ideal for portable
operation since quiescent current runs less than 1µA with
all inputs high or low.

This monolithic, quad switch is fabricated with Maxim’s
low voltage silicon-gate process. Design improvements
guarantee extremelꢂ low charge injection (10pC), low
power consumption (10µW), and electrostatic discharge
(ESD) greater than ±0007.

teed over a ꢃ0.ꢁ7 to ꢃ±.47 range for supplꢂ voltages up
to ꢃꢁ7. When supplies exceed ꢃꢁ7, the inputs are tꢂpi-
callꢂ ꢃ0.ꢁ7 to ꢃ47. Logic inputs and switched analog sig-
nals can range anꢂwhere between the supplꢂ voltages
without damage.
