General Description  
Features  
The MAX1755/MAX1756 are temperature monitors with  
±±3° aꢀꢀuraꢀcy eaꢀh with a ꢁuiꢂtꢃin ꢀomparator anꢄ  
SMBus™ꢃꢀontroꢂꢂeꢄ variaꢁꢂe trip threshoꢂꢄ. This DA°ꢃ  
programmaꢁꢂe threshoꢂꢄ aꢂꢂows speꢀifiꢀ thermaꢂ zones  
anꢄ scstem responses to overtemperature ꢀonꢄitions to  
ꢁe aꢄjusteꢄ unꢄer software ꢀontroꢂ. The MAX1755/  
MAX1756 feature seriaꢂ programmaꢁiꢂitcy ꢂow ꢀosty wiꢄe  
suppꢂcꢃvoꢂtage rangey anꢄ a tinc paꢀkage.

The MAX1755 has a seꢂfꢃꢀꢂearing thermostat output  
(OVERT)y anꢄ the MAX1756 has a ꢂatꢀheꢄ interrupt outꢃ  
put (ALERT). A varietc of sꢂave aꢄꢄresses aꢂꢂow for up  
to six ꢄeviꢀes per scstem (Taꢁꢂe ±).

o Tiny 6-Pin SOT2± Package  
The MAX1755 has 43° of ꢁuiꢂtꢃin hcsteresis. The  
MAX1756 ꢄeteꢀts ꢁoth ꢂowꢃtoꢃhigh anꢄ highꢃtoꢃꢂow temꢃ  
perature transitions within an 83° temperature winꢄow.  
This arrangement supports “winꢄowing” aꢂgorithms  
where the ꢀomparison threshoꢂꢄ is reprogrammeꢄ “onꢃ  
theꢃfꢂc.”  
The MAX1755/MAX1756 are offereꢄ in the 6ꢃpin SOT2±  
paꢀkage anꢄ are speꢀifieꢄ over the ꢃ403° to +1253°  
temperature range. For other temperature sensors with  
SMBus interfaꢀesy refer to the MAX1617y MAX1618y  
MAX1668y anꢄ MAX1805 ꢄata sheets.
