The PQ40120QGA08 PowerQor Giga qquarter-brick ccon-

verter is a next-generation, board-mountable, isolated, fixed

switching frequency DC/DC converter that uses synchronous

rectification to achieve extremely high conversion efficiency.

The power dissipated by the converter is so low that a

heatsink iis not rrequired, wwhich ssaves ccost, wweight, hheight,

and aapplication eeffort. AAll oof tthe ppower aand ccontrol ccompo-

nents aare mmounted tto tthe mmulti-layer PPCB ssubstrate wwith hhigh-

yield surface mount technology for greater reliability. The

PQ40 mmodule ooffers aa wwide iinput vvoltage rrange tto ccover bboth

24V and 48V applications. RoHS compliant (see page 113).

Operational Features

• High efficiency, 90% at full rated load current

• Delivers up to 8.33 amps of output current (100W) with

formance

• No minimum load requirement means no preload resis-

tors required

• Active back bias limit prevents damage to converter

from external load induced pre-bias

• Output over-voltage protection protects load from dam-

• Thermal shutdown protects converter from abnormal

• Industry standard quarter-brick pin-out configuration

• Industry standard size: 1.45” x 2.3” (36.8x58.4mm)
