• Low power: load bank, overvoltage limiter, crowbar,

precharge, dynamic braking

• High power: braking (locomotive, high speed train, haul

mining trucks), control of high power motors, power

generator load bank

• Medium power: braking (tramways, subways, rolling

mills), inrush current limiter, static load bank
