The AGC dyna m ic a lly a djusts the ga in of the
pre a mplifie r to c ompe nsa te for the wide ra nge of
m ic rophone input le ve ls. The AGC a llows the full
ra nge of sound, from whispe rs to loud sounds, to
be re c orde d with m inim a l distortion. Nomina l va l-
ue s of 4.7 µF give sa tisfa c tory re sults in m ost c a s-
e s.
