Multi-Line Module Connectors

For CompactPCI – Series 7200

Electrical Performance and High Frequency Characteristics Series 7200

In relation to today’s market requirements AVX 2mm Hard

Metric Connectors are designed for an excellent performance

at high frequency applications. Unique design guarantees

excellent signal transmission. Reduced crosstalk versions

with optional, modular shielding are available. Transmission

characteristics are measured and simulated in the time and

frequency domain (see TDR Plot below). Test reports are

available which allow a total overview about technical

performance. To enable an advanced circuit simulation, a

Spice Simulation Program (Simulator Program for Integrated

Circuit) is available at our web site: www.avx.com. Due to

uniform contact spacing, constant distances and total

encapsulation of terminals almost ideal 50Ohm characteristic

impedance as well as a very low propagation delay and

consistent low signal skew is reached.

Test Boards for Spice Model Verification

A comparison between Spice Model Simulation and corresponding measurements with this test board are made to verify the

simulation.
