MAGNETIC FIELD SENSORS
DESCRIPTION
The ZMZ20 is an extrem ely sensitive m agnetic field sensor in a 4 pin
E-Line package em ploying the m agneto-resistive effects of thin film
Perm alloy. It allows the m easurem ent of m agnetic fields or the detection
of m etallic parts. The sensor consists of a chip covered with Perm alloy
stripes which form a Wheatstone bridge, whose output voltage is
proportional to the m agnetic field com ponent Hy. A perpendicular field
Hx is necessary to suppress the hysteresis and this can be provided by
using a sm all perm anent m agnet.

effective

speed sensing
• Metering of fluids by sensing rotation of im peller
• Traffic counting and vehicle-type sensing
• Measurem ent of current in a conductor without
connection
