VEC - 280  
The VEC 280 product is an electrical distribution panel for DC  
powered vehicles. The panel is capable of accepting plug-in  
type automotive components such as fuses, relays and circuit  
breakers. Together with the customizing capability of the  
panel’s internal power circuit layers, it can accommodate the  
circuit protection, relay, and wire management needs for the  
entire vehicle electrical system.  
The panel is designed to accept standard components having  
2.8mm wide blade terminals on 8.1mm centerline spacing.  
These dimensions match many commonly available devices  
(Mini fuses, relays, circuit breakers) which may be installed as  
plug-in components in the 64 termination points on the top.  
The internal design consists of multi-layer metal grids, each of  
which can be readily customized to accommodate a wide  
range of circuit options. Layer spacing is designed to allow for  
direct plug-in of input and output connectors on any of three  
sides of the panel. One or two input connectors can be provid-  
ed having up to 3 inputs per connector. Up to 4 (8 position)  
output connectors can be selected.

Electrical Ratings, Amperage:  
Input Capacity For All Circuits: 200 amps maximum  
Input Terminal Rating: accepts industry standard 8.0 mm  
blade terminals; 70 amps per terminal max.  
Output Terminal Rating: accepts industry standard 2.8mm  
blade terminals; 30 amps power terminal max.  
Top Level Plug-in Components: 30 amps max. device rating.  
Each circuit panel to withstand electrical overload of 135% on  
any Mini Buss® fuse or Buss compatible circuit breaker device  
without evidence of damage or distortion.
