T he T MP05/T MP06 is specified for operation at supply
voltages from 2.7 V to 5.5 V. Operating at 3.3 V the sup-
ply current (unloaded) is typically 230 µA.
T he T MP05/T MP06 is rated for operation over the -55°C
to +150°C temperature range. It is packaged in low cost,
low area SC-70 and SOT -23 packages.
T he T MP05/T MP06 has 3 modes of operation. T hese are
Continuously Converting, Daisy Chain and One Shot
Mode. A tri-state FUNC input determines which mode
the T MP05/T MP06 operates in.

T he CONV / IN input pin is used to determine the rate
with which the T MP05/T MP06 measures temperature in
Continuously Converting and in One Shot mode. In Daisy
Chain Mode the CONV / IN pin operates as the input to
the daisy chain.

1. T he T MP05/06 has an on-chip temperature sensor that
allows an accurate measurement of the ambient tem-
perature. T he measurable temperature range is –55°C
to +150°C.

T he T MP05/T MP06 are monolithic temperature sensors
that generate a modulated serial digital output (PWM)
that varies in direct proportion to the temperature of the
devices. T he high period (T 1) of the PWM remains static
over all temperature while the low period (T 2) varies.
Overall accuracy is ±1°C from 25°C to +100°C, with
excellent transducer linearity. T he digital output of the
T M P05/06 is C M OS/T T L compatible, and is easily
interfaced to the serial inputs of most popular micropro-
2. Supply voltage of +2.7 V to +5.5 V.
3. Space-saving 5-lead SOT -23 and SC-70 packages.
4. T emperature accuracy of ±1°C.
5. 0.02°C temperature resolution.
6. T he T MP05/T MP06 features a One Shot mode that
reduces the power consumption to 8.25 µW.
