Front-End Protection IC with LDO Mode

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

FEATURES

The SGM4064 is designed for front-end protection of

Li-Ion battery charger.

● Input Over-Voltage Protection

● Battery Over-Voltage Protection

● Up to 18V Input Voltage

The SGM4064 works like a linear regulator, and

constantly monitors the input voltage and battery

voltage to maintain an output voltage of 5.1V, and the

input voltages reach the input over-voltage threshold

(V_OVP= 6.8V).

● Up to 1.5A Load Current Capability

● Soft-Start and Soft-Stop Function

 Prevent Inrush Currents and Voltage Spikes

● Thermal Shutdown Protection

● Enable Function

The SGM4064 has temperature monitoring function.

When the temperature exceeds 145℃, the device will

switch off. The SGM4064 provides a fault status

indication when it is controlled by the processor.

● Available in a Green TDFN-2×2-8L Package

The SGM4064 is available in a Green TDFN-2×2-8L

package and is rated over the -40 ℃ to +85 ℃

temperature range.
