FEATURES

DESCRIPTION

The LTC^®2311-16 is a low noise, high speed 16-bit

5Msps Throughput Rate

3LSB INL (Typ), 8LSB INL Guaranteed

Guaranteed 16-Bit, No Missing Codes

successive approximation register (SAR) ADC with

differential inputs and wide input common mode range.

Operating from a single 3.3V or 5V supply, the LTC2311-16

8V Differential Inputs with Wide Input Common

Mode Range

has an 8V differential input range, making it ideal for

P-P

81dB SNR (Typ) at f = 2.2MHz

applications which require a wide dynamic range with

high common mode rejection. The LTC2311-16 achieves

3LSB INL typical, no missing codes at 16 bits and 81dB

SNR typical.

–90dB THD (Typ) at f = 2.2MHz

Guaranteed Operation –40°C to 125°C

Single 3.3V or 5V Supply

Low Drift (20ppm/°C Max) 2.048V or 4.096V Internal

Reference with 1.25V External Reference Input

1.8V to 2.5V I/O Voltages

The LTC2311-16 has an onboard low drift (20ppm/°C max)

2.048V or 4.096V temperature-compensated reference

and provides an external 1.25V buffered reference input.

The LTC2311-16 also has a high speed SPI-compatible

serial interface that supports CMOS or LVDS. The fast

5Msps throughput with one-cycle latency makes the

LTC2311-16 ideally suited for a wide variety of high speed

applications. The LTC2311-16 dissipates only 50mW with

a 5V supply and offers nap and sleep modes to reduce

the power consumption to 5μW for further power savings

during inactive periods.
