Description

Features

The

IS6620A is highly integrated

• Independent dual 6-A outputs

• Parallel single output 12-A

• Output Voltage Range: 0.6V to 5.5V, and

90% Max Duty Cycle

non-isolated Dual DC-DC converter that is

capable of high frequency operation in a 3

mm x 5 mm package. The device can be

configured as two single 6-A rails or

combined to drive a single 12-A current

load. The device implements a fixed

frequency Pseudo-Current Mode control

with optional ramp amplitude configurations

to optimize the loop bandwidth. Two mode

selection pins (MODE1 and MODE2) are

used to select switching frequency,

configuration, clock phase delay, and

internal compensation.

• Fixed Frequency - synchronization to an

external clock with phase delay using

SYNC and CLKO

• Output voltage range of 0.5 V to 5.5V

• Integrated 20 mΩ/8 mΩ high/low side

FET with lossless high/low side current

sensing

• Selectable internal frequency

compensation

• Soft start time is configurable with 4 ms

default for dual-output configuration

• Adjustable external soft start in

Multiphase operation

The IS6620A has fully integrated protection

features including pre-bias start-up,

soft-start protection, NOCP, OVP, UVP and

over temperature protection (OTP) with

auto-recovery.

• True differential remote sensing in

Multiphase operation

• Independent enable and power good

• 4 Pin selectable switching frequency

options of 500 kHz, 1 MHz, 1.5 MHz,

and 2MHz
