Description

Applications

The IS6202A is a dual-output digital multi-

phase buck controller designed for CPU voltage

regulation and is fully compliant with PMBus

1.3.1 and VR13.HC specifications. It can be

configured up to 5-phase operation for loop1

and up to 1-phase operation for loop2.



Constant On-Time (TCOT^TM) control algorithm

for lightning-fast transient response. It also

The IS6202A supports 127 address values for

both the PMBus bus interfaces. The device

configuration is easily defined using the

Innovision GUI and is stored in the on-chip

Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) to reduce external

components and minimize the package size.

Improved Transient Performance on both

loops minimizes output bulk capacitors and

system cost.



reporting of temperature, voltage, current,

and power telemetry for both outputs.

Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) for easy and

virtually unlimited non-volatile programming

Compatible with 3.3V tri-state drivers.

+3.3V supply voltage; -40°C to 85°C

ambient operation; -40°C to 125°C junction

operation.

The IS6202A provides extensive OVP, UVP,

OCP, OTP fault protection, and includes

thermistor-based temperature sensing or

highest temperature reporting when using

Power Stage. The controller is extremely

flexible, working with DCR current sense,

precision current sense resistors, and power

stages. The IS6202A also includes numerous

VR design simplifying and differentiating.


