1.8V 2A Low Dropout Regulator with Enable

Features

General Description

^ꢀDropout voltage 0.7V @ I_O= 2A

^ꢀOutput current in excess of 2A

^ꢀOutput voltage accuracy ±2.5%

^ꢀQuiescent current, typically 1.8mA

^ꢀInternal short circuit current limit

^ꢀInternal over temperature protection

^ꢀTO220 4pin Full-Mold package

^ꢀON/OFF control

The G9218 positive 1.8V voltage regulator features

the ability to source 2A of output current. The dropout

voltage is 0.7V at 2A output current. The typical qui-

escent current is 1.8mA. Furthermore, the quiescent

current is smaller when the regulator is in the dropout

mode.

Familiar regulator features such as over tem-

perature and over current protection circuits are

provided to prevent it from being damaged by

abnormal operating conditions. A V_enpin is pro-

vided to disable the output when needed.
