APPLICATIONS
Battery Powered Instrumentation

Wide dynamic signal range with low-supplies is achieved
with an input range that goes to either rail and an output
that will swing within 100mV of either rail. The signal-to-
noise ratio is maximized by the very low noise (4.5nV/rt
Hz and 1.5pA/rt Hz) of the AD8027/28.

With the wide supply voltage range (2.7V to 12V) and
wide bandwidth (200 MHz), the AD8027/28 amps are
designed to work in a variety of applications where speed
and performance are needed on low supply voltages. The
high-performance of the AD8027/28 is achieved with a
quiescent current of only 6.5mA max. A power-down
disable feature is also available.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The AD8027/28 are high-speed amplifiers, which work on
low-supply voltages and are optimized for high-
performance and wide dynamic signal range. The
AD8027/8 have rail-to-rail inputs and outputs, low-
distortion and low noise.
The AD8027 is a single amplifier and the AD8028 is a
dual. The AD8027/28 amps available in small packages,
SO-8 and SOT23-8 for the single and µSO-10 for the dual.
They are rated to work over the industrial temperature
range, -40C to +85C.
All rail-to-rail input amplifiers have an input stage which
switches from one differential pair to another as the input
signal crosses a threshold voltage. The AD8027/28 have a
unique feature, which allows the user to select the input
crossover threshold through the disable pin, either closer to
