GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ACT2823 is a space-saving, dedicated single-chip
solution for dual-cell battery charge and discharge
control. It is optimized for power bank and battery
backup systems. The ACT2823 operates in three
modes: charge mode, discharge mode and HZ mode.

High Power Capability
It charges dual Li-Ion batteries from a USB input while
also delivering power to the load. Automatic power path
control always gives priority to the load.

Dual Li-Ion Cells – 8.4V/8.7V +/-0.5%
When the USB input is not present, the ACT2823
powers the load at 5.07V from the batteries. The cycle-
by-cycle peak current mode control, constant current
regulation, short circuit protection and over voltage
protection maximize safe operation.
