Pocket Thermometer / Alarm
1.0 Introduction
Congratulations on selecting Extech's model 392085 Pocket Thermometer. This meter
conveniently measures oC or oF and provides the addition features of high/ low alarms, hold
reading and has a remote temperature probe.

Installation:
1) Carefully unpack the thermometer
2) Remove the battery cover screw and open the cover.
3) Install the new battery and the close cover
4) Fully extend the probe.
5) The thermometer is ready for use.
Operation:
1) Turn the Power knob to the oF or oC position. The meter will read the temperature.
2) Press the "H/T" (data hold) button to freeze the measurement in the display. The oC or oF
character will blink when the data hold function is selected. Press the "H/T" button again to
resume normal operation.
3) "MAX/MIN" Temperature Alarm Setting:
a) The "Bell" symbol is the "ON" position and the "Bell" is the "OFF" position
b) Slide the alarm on\off button (bell symbol) to the on position.
c) Press and hold the "MAX" or "MIN" button for approximately five seconds. The display will
indicate the minimum temperature (-50oC or -58oF) and then will increase. When the
desired temperature is approached, release the button and single step to the setting.
d) Releasing the button for approximately five seconds will return the thermometer to the
normal mode.
e) The alarm will sound 4 beeps per minute when the measured temperature equals or is
greater than the MAX or less than the MIN set value
Warranty:
EXTECH INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION warrants this instrument to be free of defects in parts and workmanship for one year from date of shipment (a
six month limited warranty applies on sensors and cables). If it should become necessary to return the instrument for service during or beyond the warranty
period, contact the Customer Service Department at (781) 890-7440 ext. 210 for authorization. A Return Authorization (RA) number must be issued before
any product is returned to Extech. The sender is responsible for shipping charges, freight, insurance and proper packaging to prevent damage in transit.
This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from action of the user such as misuse, improper wiring, operation outside of specification, improper
maintenance or repair, or unauthorized modification. Extech specifically disclaims any implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for a specific purpose
and will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Extech's total liability is limited to repair or replacement of the product.
The warranty set forth above is inclusive and no other warranty, whether written or oral, is expressed or implied.
